About This Trek

The Valley of Flowers is a UNESCO World Heritage Site nestled in the Himalayas, blooming with over 300 species of wildflowers between July and September. Combined with the sacred Hemkund Sahib at 15,200 ft, this trek blends nature, adventure, and spirituality in equal measure. A journey through alpine meadows, glacial lakes, and snow-capped peaks - perfect for trekkers and pilgrims alike.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

  Day 1

  Rishikesh → Auli Base Camp

  The Day 1 journey covers a distance of 270 km over 9 to 10 hours, with accommodation provided at the Swiss Tent Camp. Depart from Rishikesh, passing through Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, and Joshimath, before arriving at the Wildind Auli Base Camp, featuring Swiss tents, stunning Himalayan views, and a bonfire.

  Day 2

  Auli → Ghangaria

  Day 2 involves a 9 km trek lasting 6 to 7 hours, with accommodation provided at Ghangaria. Travellers drive from Joshimath to Govindghat, and onward to Pulna, before trekking along the Pushpawati River, through forests and past waterfalls, to reach Ghangaria, the base camp for the days ahead.

  Day 3

  Ghangria → Valley of Flowers

  Day 3 involves a 10 km trek lasting 6 to 7 hours, with accommodation provided at Ghangaria. Explore the Valley of Flowers, home to over 300 species of wildflowers including blue poppies, primulas, and orchids, while keeping an eye out for wildlife such as Himalayan black bears, red foxes, and musk deer.

  Day 4

  Ghangaria → Hemkund Sahib

  Day 4 involves a 12 km trek lasting 7 to 8 hours, with accommodation provided at Ghangaria. Travellers trek to the revered Sikh shrine of Hemkund Sahib, situated beside a glacial lake, admiring the stunning surroundings including the endemic Brahma Kamal flowers and seven snow-capped peaks,

  Day 5

  Ghangaria → Auli

  Day 5 involves a 9 km trek combined with a drive, lasting 5 to 6 hours, with accommodation provided at the Swiss Tent Camp in Auli. Travellers trek back through the scenic forests before driving to the Wildind Auli Base Camp for a relaxing evening, complete with a bonfire and stargazing under the clear mountain sky.

  Auli → Rishikesh

  Day 6 involves a 270 km drive, marking the final leg of the journey. Travellers depart from Auli, with an optional stop at the sacred Devprayag confluence along the way. Trek Completion Certificates are distributed, and the trek concludes upon arrival in Rishikesh.
